Fatih Vatan Spor Kulübü is a women's association football, women's football team based in Fatih, Istanbul. The team completed the 2016–17 season of Turkish Women's Second Football League as champion, and were promoted to the Turkish Women's First Football League. History Fatih Vatan Spor was founded in 2006 as the sports club of Fatih Vatan High School, which is situated at Vatan Boulevard in Fatih district of Istanbul. The team finished the 2016–17 Turkish Women's Second Football League, Women's Second League season following the play-off round as champion, and were promoted to the Women's First League. Fatih Vatan Spor finished the 2018-19 Turkish Women's First Football League, 2018–19 First League in ninth place, and was relegated to the Second League after their second First League season. The Turkish Women's Third Football League () is the fourth-level league competition for women's association football in Turkey. History The Women's Third League was established in 2014 launching its first season in the 2014–15. It replaced the Turkish Women's Regional Football League, which existed two seasons in 2009–10 and 2010–11. Marija Ilić ( sr-Cyrl, Марија Илић; born 3 June 1993) is a Serbian women's football defender who plays in the Turkish Super League for Fatih Vatan. Club career In Dececember 2021, Ilić moved to Turkey and joined the newly established Istanbul club Fatih Karagümrük to play 2021–22 Women's Super League. After one season, she transferred to the German club MSV Duisburg, where she played the 2022–23 Frauen-Bundesliga season. She scored four goals in 17 matches. Nargiz Aliyeva (; born 22 March 2002) is an Azerbaijani women's football goalkeeper who plays in the Turkis Super League for Fatih Vatan, and the Azerbaijan women's national team. Early years Aliyeeva started her sports career in 2013. She learned playing football under the tutelage of coach Ilgar Huseynov in her hometown. The 2021–22 Turkcell Women's Football Super League () was the inaugural season of the Turkish Women's Football Super League. The league, which started in the 2021-22 season was positioned above the Turkish Women's Football First League, which was previously the highest-level league in the women's football pyramid in Turkey. The league consists of 24 teams with addition of eight newly established women's football sides of major Süper Lig clubs to the former 16 teams of the 2020–21 Turkcell Women's Football League.
